Penton
Penton motorcycles hit the US market in the late'60s as lightweight, agile motorcycles, boasting more performance than many of their competitors. The first models featured small-bore Sachs engines, while the later bikes were KTM-powered. The Penton family has made an everlasting mark on the American motorcycle community through their many contributions, both on the sporting side, as well as the mechanical side, of off-road activities.
The above photo is our own Matt Hilgenberg during his first year of vintage MX, in 1985, aboard a 250 Penton Cross Country at DeAnza Cycle Park.
